Research Paper

(twelve to sixteen pages)  paper discussing two academic articles on a topic of your choice. How does each author approach the topic, what are his or her sources and evidence; how does each author describe the significance of the topic or what does he or she emphasize? What do you learn by comparing and contrasting these articles?  You may use two or three other sources, such as book chapters, for your paper but you MUST HAVE TWO JOURNAL ARTICLES. Further information to be posted. Your paper should be on the post- Khrushchev period and /or the post-Soviet period.  For example, you could write on Chernobyl as an issue in the late years of the regime, you could write on Gorbachev or Yeltsin, or on foreign reactions and actions in relation to the changes in the Soviet Union.  (East Germany in relation to the Soviet Union, for example)
