Provenance: The academic catalogs were collected from various individuals and offices around campus and were, under the direction of Ann Grady Fleming ‘31, brought together under the regulation of the Alumnae Archives until around 2005. The Emmanuel College Archives gained jurisdiction over the academic catalogs in 2010 and has acquired subsequent catalog editions from the Emmanuel College Library and the Office of Government and Community Relations and other offices on campus.

History and Biography: The Emmanuel College Academic Catalog has been in publication since 1919 and serves as a resource that reflects the academic development of the College and its departments. It also provides information on admissions, finances and academic regulations. At various points the catalog has been published by Grffith-Stillings Press and Garamond/Pridemark. Since, at least 2003, the academic catalog has been produced by the Office of Government and Community Relations or the Office of Marketing and Communications. Starting in the 2013-2014 academic year the academic catalog was published online.

Scope and Content: The collection contains an almost consecutive run of Emmanuel College Academic Catalogs (except for the academic year 1925-1926). The academic catalogs are stored in their original format, either in hardcopy and/or .pdf formats.

Accruals:The archives will continue to add to this collection on a regular basis.

Collection Arrangement: The collection is arranged into one (1) series that contains catalogs arranged chronologically from 1919 through 2018.
