Biography/History: Mary Kathleen Boyd, graduate of the Univerity of Toronto (BSc., 1980, PhD, 1989) has worked a chemist at Loyola University Chicago and Georgia Southern University(1990-2008). She has previously worked as Dean at the University of San Diego (2008-2016), Vice-President for Academic Affairs at St. Edward's University (2013-2016), Provost at Berry College (2017-2022).

In August 2022 Dr. Mary K. Boyd assumed the role Emmanuel College President in August 2022. Dr. Mary K. Boyd was officially sworn into the Office of Emmanuel College President on April 14, 2023. She is the thirteenth person and first lay person to hold the Office.

Scope and Content: The collection contains invitations, programs, and a transcript from the inauguration ceremony of Dr. Mary K. Boyd as the thirteenth president of Emmanuel College on April 14, 2023. The collection covers the period of spring 2023.
