Biography:This collection was created by Mrs. Ann Grady Fleming '31, the Emmanuel College Alumnae Archivist. She started it by the 1980s by pulling photographs together from various offices, departments, and clubs together into one collection in the course of her work to uncover the College's history and her efforts to create events that celebrated the lives of alumnae. Images continue to be added to the collection after her death in 2005. It was semi-processed in the late 2000s.

Scope and Content: The material in this collection contains photographs, negatives, clippings, and slides related to Emmanuel College from the 20th and 21st centuries that may or may not have been used in official College publications. In addition, some material within the collection may be under copyright protection. The collection covers such topics as Emmanuel College alumni, the City of Boston, the Emmanuel College campus, activities and events, and individuals associated with Emmanuel College.

Collection Arrangement: The collection is arranged into ten series that are: 1) Alumni and Alumni Events, 2) City of Boston, 3) Emmanuel College Campus, 4) Events and Activities, 5) Individuals Associated with Emmanuel College, 6) Copyrighted Photographs, 7) Photographic Slides, 8) Glass Plate Negatives, 9) Negative Film Strips, and 10) Unidentified Photographs.
